ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - The Salvation Army is going to be drumming up a little holiday cheer on Thursday evening - they'll be signing up bell-ringers for this year's Red Kettle Campaign, before it officially begins on Friday.
The sign-up is taking place at the "Give to the Max" Carnival at the Midtown Tuscan Center from 4pm - 8 pm.
Salvation Army Public relations director Jim Muellenbach says the St. Cloud area fundraising goal this year has been set at $225,000, surpassing last year's total of $219,000.
In addition to the 6-town metro areas, bell ringers will be stationed in Clearwater, Cold Spring and Avon.
Muellenbach adds, a few events to watch for are "Realtor Ring Day" on Friday, December 6 and the "Mayor's Challenge" on Friday, December 21.
