ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) Secretary of State Mark Ritchie announced today that over 180,000 Minnesota voters have requested absentee ballots for the November 6th General Election.
Of the ballots requested, 114,383 have already been returned by voters and accepted.
Ritchie also reminds voters that the absentee ballot period ends November 5th.
Voters who are eligible to vote by absentee are encouraged to apply for their ballot materials as soon as possible or visit their county auditor’s office to vote absentee in-person.
Minnesota does not have early voting. An eligible Minnesota voter can cast an absentee ballot if they are going to be absent from their precinct on election day, observing a religious discipline or holiday, have an illness or disability, or are serving as an election judge.
