ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Monday was another very wet day in St. Cloud. An inch and 58 hundreths of rain fell--which was a record amount for the date. And it brings St. Cloud's rainfall total since Saturday to five-point-zero-six inches.
The monthly total is five-point-77 inches. And more rain is on the way. There's a good chance of rain mixing with snow today, tonight and Wednesday, and a good chance of more rain on Thursday.
This rainfall could cause some isolated local flooding issues in Stearns County in low lying areas, on certain roadways and in lakes and rivers.
The National Weather Service indicates that both the Sauk River and Mississippi River could rise to the "action stage" which is the water level immediately preceding flood stage.
Stearns County Emergency Management has also received a few reports of trees that have fallen due to high winds and the saturated ground.
