ST. CLOUD, MN - After a mostly dry stretch for the last several months, our recent rain has helped push rainfall totals for the season back toward more normal levels for this time of year.

The storm that blew through the St. Cloud area late Saturday night into early Sunday morning deposited more than an inch of rain -- that was on top of nearly an inch-and-three-quarters of precipitation last Tuesday when severe thunderstorms and tornado threats ripped through the region.

In all, St. Cloud's already registered 3.65 inches of rain in just the first week of the month. May continues to shape up as a particularly wet month, St. Cloud State meteorologist Bob Weisman says we're likely to see another round of rain on Tuesday.
