FREEPORT, Minn. (KNSI) A Sauk Centre man was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after a rear-end crash on Interstate 94 two miles east of Freeport Tuesday morning.

The State Patrol says 22 year-old Jason Kuennen sustained serious injuries after rear ending a trailer being pulled by a truck.

The truck--which was accelerating onto the Interstate from the shoulder when it was hit--was driven by 38 year-old Shane Bussian of Cushing, Wisconsin. He was not injured.

The accident was reported just before 5:30 am Tuesday.

Both men were wearing seat belts and road conditions were not a factor. The patrol says the road surface was dry.
