FORT MYERS, Fl. (KNSI) Jim Rantz has announced he's retiring after 52 years with the Minnesota Twins organization.
Rantz, who serves as Director of Minor League Operations, made the announcement today at the Twins organizational meetings in Fort Myers, Florida. The 75 year-old Rantz will retire at the end of the year.
Rantz joined the Minnesota organization in 1961, spending his first five years as a player and manager. He worked his way up to become Director of Minor League Opeations in 1986.
He was elected to the Twins Hall of Fame in 2007.
