ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) -- A St. Cloud commercial printing plant is closing in late August. 

Quad/Graphics, located on Mayhew Lake Road in St. Cloud, informed its 280 employees on Wednesday morning of the plans to close. Full-time employees will be eligible for separation packages and some will have the opportunity for a variety of positions available at other printing facilities.

With the recent acquistion of Brown Printing Company, Quad/Graphics, which has its corporate headquarters,  in Sussex Wisconsinhas grown over the past four decades to more than 70 production plants worldwide with a total of 25,000 employeeds.

Quad/Graphics can trace its business history back to Volkmuth Printing which started in 1938. Quad/Graphics has two other printing plants in Minnesota...one in Shakopee and the other in Wasceca, both part of the Brown Printing acquistion.
