FAHLUN, MN (KNSI) - An accident on Big Kandiyohi Lake over the weekend left an eight year-old Willmar boy seriously injured.

Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartog said a pontoon driven by a 75-year-old Minnetonka woman struck the bot as he knee boarded behind a boat driven by his father.  The boy was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. His name has not been released.

Hartog said alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, and the boy was wearing a life jacket. The accident happened just before 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
