Police: St. Cloud Woman Murdered; Son in Custody

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - St. Cloud police say a 40-year-old Rosemount man is in custody on homicide charges, accused of killing his mother.

Investigators say police were called to a St. Cloud home early Thursday on a report of two people arguing. They arrived to find 68-year-old Geraldine Delores Bennett had been injured with an "edged weapon." She died at St. Cloud Hospital.

Police arrested Bennett's son Chad Pulju and he remained in custody Thursday. He has not been formally charged.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
