ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud police have released more information on the explosive device found Saturday that led to evacuations, traffic detours and a bomb squad from Crow Wing County being called in.
Sergeant Jason Burke says the item was consistent with what's known as a cricket bomb, or an explosive device from an empty C-O-2 cartridge.
Burke says the device did not contain any shrapnel, and had a non-timer type fuse.
The device was found by a man in the 10-block of 29th Avenue North Saturday morning, and he in turned called police.
The bomb squad detonated the explosive late Saturday afternoon. There were no injuries.
