MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) An early morning police chase in Minneapolis ended when a fleeing vehicle struck another car, killing the driver and injuring a passenger.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a trooper tried stopping a car for speeding and suspicion of drunken driving about 1 a.m. Monday. The driver fled the scene and the trooper began pursuit.

The patrol says the chase ended when the car broadsided another vehicle, killing the driver, 20-year-old Brody Sotona, of Spring Valley, and seriously injured a 24-year-old passenger from Stillwater.
