ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud police used pepper spray to break up a fight and disperse a large crowd outside McRudy's Bar at 715 West Saint Germain.
Officers were attempting to break up a fight between 22 year-old Marvin Matthews and 22 year-old Jeffrey Bias II--both of St. Cloud--just after 2 am Sunday.
After getting the pair separated, an officer was pushed by Matthews and both fell to the ground.
A crowd of up to 50 people encircled the officer and Matthews, some pulling at the officer's jacket and interfering with the arrest.
Pepper spray was used to back up the crowd and get them to leave.
Matthews is charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process. Bias is charged with disorderly conduct. Both were booked into the Stearns County Jail.
The officer involved was not injured.
