ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) - Rochester police say alcohol likely played a role in the death of a teen left sleeping in a cold car overnight.
Eighteen-year-old Minorum Hong, of Rochester, was found dead about 8 a.m. Sunday in the vehicle. Police Capt. Brian Winters says Hong was sleeping when friends parked the car outside a home and left him there. Temperatures hovered in the teens overnight.
Winters says Hong was not wearing a winter jacket. He says the investigation is focused on how much alcohol Hong consumed, where he got it and how long he had been in the car.
The Star Tribune says a funeral home death notice says Hong was a student at Golden Hill Alternative Day School and was looking forward to becoming a father.
