ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man charged with raping and beating a woman last summer has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors Wednesday.
Twenty two year-old James Bryson was indicted by a Stearns County grand jury on one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He's expected to receive a 22-and-a-half year prison term when he's sentenced in early November, and could be eligible for release after 15 years with time off for good behavior.
The victim told police she met Bryson when she returned to her apartment, and that Bryson began hitting and choking her.
Officers found a pair of jeans in the woman's apartment that had Bryson's identification in them.
