ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (AP) Douglas County authorities are investigating a plane crash on Lake Latoka near Alexandria in western Minnesota.

The sheriff's office says the crash happened about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Several witnesses called 911.

Deputies say two people suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

The pilot told authorities they were on approach to the Alexandria airport when the plane developed mechanical issues. The pilot managed to maintain control and deploy the plane's parachute.

There were two adults and two children on board.
