ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A small airplane that crashed into a home in Sauk Rapids has killed two people according to reports.
Sauk Rapids Police Chief Perry Beise confirmed a single-engine plane hit the home Friday night. The homeowner, Jeff Hille, says that his brother-in-law was in the house at the time but got out safe. Hille is a teacher and head baseball coach at Sauk Rapids Rice High School.
Authorities also do not yet know what caused the crash. A witness saw the small, white plane hit the house. She said she saw it come around a larger plane. She said the smaller plane did a turn, then "went straight down."
