ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The Pioneer Place on Fifth Theatre is getting ready to observe a major milestone with a major party.
Pioneer Place owner Dan Barth tells KNSI News the city officially approved the historic theatre's request to host "Takin' It To the Streets" in honor of the building's 100th anniversary.
The party is set for the evening of Saturday, August 3rd.
In true Pioneer Place style, Barth says the 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. shindig will include live musical performances from local musical acts such as The Fabulous Armadillos, Justin Ploof and the Throwbacks and Collective Unconscious, as well as opening act Anthony Shore's Tribute to the King.
The outdoor festival will take over the House of Pizza Parking lot right across from the theatre, and will include a beer garden.
Barth tells KNSI News he's thrilled with the decision to allow "Takin' It To The Streets," and it's the first time the theatre has hosted a party anything like it.
However, the party isn't geared toward the whole family; the festivities will be strictly 21 and older.
