Pilot walks away from Minnesota crop-duster crash

HANLEY FALLS, MN (AP) - A pilot was able to walk away after a crop-duster crash in western Minnesota.

The Yellow Medicine County sheriff's office says the crash was reported west of Hanley Falls just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The caller said an airplane had been crop-dusting and had gone down in a cornfield.

Authorities say the plane apparently hit a power line guy wire and knocked down one of the power lines.

Another caller said the pilot had gotten out of the plane and was walking on the road.

The 47-year-old pilot, Bryce Orwick of Clara City, was treated at the Granite Falls hospital.
