EDEN VALLEY, MN (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old pedestrian who was trying to cross train tracks in Meeker County has been hit and killed by a locomotive.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the man was walking in Eden Valley on Saturday around 3:30 a.m. As he tried to cross on foot to the south side of the tracks, he was struck by a Canadian Pacific train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Minneapolis Star Tribune report says the man's name is scheduled to be released later Saturday.
