BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. (KNSI) Authorities say two men under arrest in Breckenridge on burglary charges could be tied to a large-scale theft ring.

Police Chief Nate Harder was off-duty and in church when the pair raised suspicions after they came inside, looked around and left.

Harder found them outside trying to load a portable generator from a pickup into their car.

Facing felony theft and burglary charges are 22-year-old Matthew Dehncke of Paynesville and 46-year-old Richard Allen of Fergus Falls.

Harder says investigators are looking at multiple thefts from church parking lots plus residential burglaries, all the way to Brainerd.

"It looks like these guys have been at it for awhile," he says.
