WAITE PARK, MN (KNSI) - The Waite Park City Council is moving ahead with plans to annex part of St. Joseph Township.
The property is located between the Sauk River and County Road 137. The annexation could take effect January 1st. Letters will go out this week to property owners in the annexation area, and they'll have a chance to speak with city officials before any official action is taken.
Waite Park does not intend to extend city water and sewer services to the annexation area, although property owners could request that. The issue will be discussed further at a June 12th meeting at Waite Park City Hall.
