Parents sue day care provider over infant's death

ELKO, MN (AP) - The parents of a baby who died at a day care provider's home in Scott County have filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
Three-month-old Grant Maloney died while sleeping at the day care home in Elko last February. The infant rolled over onto a small pillow and died fromasphyxiation.
The baby's parents, Susan and Russell Maloney, allege the day care provider was negligent by providing an unsafe sleep environment for their child. The Star Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/9arrrsp) says the baby's death is one of eight that occurred while children were being cared for by licensed day care providers. All
of the deaths happened at day care homes.
