Pair arrested for Alabama murder

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Two people were arrested in St. Cloud this week in connection with a murder in Alabama.

Thirty nine year-old Laron Lukes and 27 year-old Eleana Ghant are suspected of being involved in a drive-by shooting in Huntsville, Alabama on November 12th.

The U.S. Marshal's Service got a tip that the pair may be in St. Cloud--staying at the apartment of Ghant's mother.

Officers staked out the apartment in the 400-block of Eighth Avenue North for several days, and moved in to make the arrests on Wednesday.

Lukes is suspected of being the trigger man in the murder, while Ghant was driving the vehicle.

Both were booked into the Stearns County Jail.

Ghant also had warrants out for her arrest in Benton and Stearns counties for driving offenses and criminal damage to property.
