Owatonna drowning victim identified

OWATONNA, MN (AP) - Steele County authorities have identified the victim of a drowning on Lake Kohlmier as a 19-year-old Fairbault man.

Sheriff Lon Thiele says a family member identified him as Diego Ortiz Larios.

Witnesses lost sight of him just before 6 p.m. Wednesday when he was swimming around the dock on the swimming beach side of the lake in Owatonna in southern Minnesota.

The incident was ruled an accidental drowning.
