RICE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house Tuesday in Rice the upcoming reconstruction of the U.S. Highway 10-Benton County Road 2 intersection.
It's an $11.3 million project that --when complete--will carry Highway 10 traffic over County Road 2. That will eliminate the need for stoplifghts at that intersection.
MnDOT spokesman J.P. Gillach says construction will begin July 8th with mostly site prep work this year. The actual construction work on the interchange will get startted next April.
MnDOT is hosting an open house at Rice City Hall on Tuesday night from 5 to 7 pm for the public to learn more about the project. Gillach says the entire project is scheduled for completion in November 2014.
