ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of west central, southwest and south central Minnesota today.

Warm and windy conditions will develop ahead of an approaching front. Southwest winds with sustained speeds at 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts to 35 miles per hour will be common ahead of the front.

As minimum relative humidity levels fall to between 20 and 25 percent, dangerous wildfire conditions will exist this afternoon.

The Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon to 6pm along and west of a line from Morris to Olivia to Fairmont. Some cities in the Red Flag Warning include Montevideo, Granite Falls, Benson, Redwood Falls, New Ulm and St. James.
