ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud may have missed out on the heavy snow that fell in parts of Minnesota Wednesday night, but not the chilly temperatures.
In fact, weather data dating back to late February shows St. Cloud has had above normal temperatures only seven days in the past nine weeks.
St. Cloud saw 24.4 inches of snow in April--a record for the month, and temperatures were below normal for the first 25 days of April.
It could be worse. Southeast Minnesota is digging out from a May snowstorm that dumped 15 inches of snow in the Owatonna and Dodge Center areas.
Roads were so bad in the southeast corner of the state that many school districts--including Rochester, Faribault, Red Wing and Goodhue cancelled classes Thursday.
