ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The newly installed chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system says he's heard frequently from students about rising tuition costs.
Steven Rosenstone was installed as MnSCU's fourth chancellor Wednesday in a ceremony at the state Capitol.
In his remarks, Rosenstone said he is "deeply worried" about what he calls "the darkest cloud in the educational sky — the shifting of costs from the state to students."
He says keeping the doors open to an extraordinary education for all Minnesotans will remain MnSCU's top priority.
