SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) State Patrol troopers will be out again Friday helping drivers navigate their way through the new diverging diamond interchange that opened Thursday morning at Minnesota Highway 15 and Stearns County Road 120.
It's the first of its kind in this area, and just the second diverging diamond interchange in the state.
It allows two directions of traffic on County 120 to temporarily cross to the opposite lanes as they cross Highway 15 on an overpasss. The idea is to eliminate left turns in front of oncoming traffic.
Construction on the $10 million interchange began last year.
