ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Just in time for the new school year, St. Cloud school teachers and the district reached agreement on a new contract.
The tentative deal still needs approval from the teachers, who'll vote on it starting Monday.
A one-percent pay raise is called for in the deal, to take effect in the upcoming school year, which begins September 4th. The new contract also covers the 2011-2012 school year.
Teachers will not receive a salary increase for last year, but will be able to divide a one-time payment of 600-thousand dollars.
