ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says April was another robust month for new business creation in the state, with 5,548 new entity filings.
Ritchie says with more than 21,294 new filings this year, the state is on track to create nearly 64,000 new businesses this year. That would be a five-percent increase over 2012.
Ritchie says if the current pace continues, the state will exceed the all-time record of more than 63,338 new business filings set in 2009.
Ritchie says Minnesota continues to outpace other states in the region in new business filings on a per capita basis.
