(KNSI)--Hundreds of Minnesota National Guard soldiers are settling back into civilian life after returning to the state in the past few days. And if they don't have a job to come back to, they will soon be looking for work.
National Guard officials say about 20 percent of nearly 3,000 Red Bull brigade members returning from Kuwait don't have a job waiting for them.
The National Guard will work with officials from the state Department of Employment and Economic Development in the coming months to host job fairs around Minnesota and at regional workforce centers.
Representatives from several major companies including Target, Best Buy and U.S. Bank recently helped soldiers update their resumes and prepare for job interviews while they were still in Kuwait.
