ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) Musicians of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra are facing a possible lockout.
The orchestra's management has given its musicians until 6 p.m. Sunday to accept a contract offer or else the musicians will be locked out and concerts canceled through Nov. 4.
The musicians union issued a statement Wednesday deploring the move.
If the impasse continues, both major orchestras in the Twin Cities will be locked out. The Minnesota Orchestra canceled its first six weeks of concerts Oct. 1 after the two sides failed to reach agreement.
St. Paul's contract expired June 30. Negotiations in September failed to produce a deal.
