ST. PETER, Minn. (AP) St. Peter police say a shooting that killed a man and a woman was an apparent murder-suicide.
Forty-eight-year-old Jacquelyn Marie Johnson of St. Peter and 53-year-old Joel Bruce Reineke of Kasota were found dead in Johnson's house at about 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Police Chief Matt Peters says an investigation and autopsy reports indicate Reineke shot Johnson before turning the gun on himself.
The two knew each other and had dated in the past.
Peters says investigators were told Reineke had seen Johnson with another man and became jealous. The chief says there were no signs that the two struggled before the shooting.
