Much needed rain on the way

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) It might not be a drought-busting rain, but some welcome precipitation is expected in the upper midwest this weekend.

Rain is expected to move in Friday night and continue through the day Saturday. Thunderstorms are also a possibility.

Rainfall amounts could be an inch or more between Friday night and Saturday night.

St. Cloud received only .24 of an inch of rain in September, and has recorded only a trace of rain in the first 10 days of October.

Since September 1st, St. Cloud is running nearly four-and-a-quarter inches behind normal for rainfall.
