MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (KNSI) A brawl following a high school soccer game in Maple Grove could keep players out of the state tournament and might lead to criminal charges.
Prairie Seeds Academy of Brooklyn Park defeated Totino-Grace High School in Fridley by a score of 2-1 Friday.
The game in Maple Grove was to determine which team advances to the tournament. But a prolonged scuffle involving multiple players broke out after the game.
At least one Totino-Grace player was injured and required stitches.
The fight raises the possibility of Prairie Seeds suspensions.
The Minnesota State High School League is investigating the incidents.
Video shows a Prairie Seeds player punching the other coach in the head as the coach tried to separate players.
Police say they're actively investigating.
