BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) - A mother who left four children in a hot car last summer
while she shopped at Target in Bemidji won't spend much time in jail.
A Beltrami County District judge sentenced Bianca Hazelrigg to a year in jail,
but stayed all but 24 days on Monday.
Hazelrigg must also spend two
years on probation. She earlier pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of child
endangerment.
Court documents say Hazelrigg left the children unattended in the car in
88-degree temperatures. The children are OK.
