TRACY, Minn. (AP) _ A mother and three children are injured after a house explosion in the city of Tracy in southwestern Minnesota.

According to Tracy Fire Chief Dale Johnson III, an explosion was reported at about 9 a.m. Saturday.

Neighbor Sheena Schons, told WCCO-TV (http://cbsloc.al/PFAegF) she called 911 after being awoken by glass shattering. Her husband Matt Schons says he saw the mother, Sonia Timmons, run out with her 2-year-old daughter. He also saw the 7-year-old daughter screaming and running outside.

Matt Schons says he rescued the woman's newborn out of a crib.

He says the woman told him the explosion happened after she lit a cigarette.

The family is at a St. Paul hospital, where the mother was in critical condition Sunday. The children's conditions were not being released.
