ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) More wintry weather is expected this weekend in central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from midnight until 6 pm Saturday. It does include the St. Cloud area.

Another burst of snow and wind is expected as another system drops down out of Canada. Far western and southern Minnesota will only see an inch or two of snow, but winds between 30 and 45 mph are expected on Saturday creating areas of blowing and drifting snow.

Farther north and east, near the Interstate 94 corridor, blustery winds and a few inches of new snow could make for difficult travel from Friday night into Saturday.

St. Cloud picked up six-tenths of an inch of snow Thursday, bringing the seasonal total to 27.8 inches. There was also a peak wind gust of 44 miles per hour.
