ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A strong storm remains on track to develop near the panhandle of Texas and bring several inches of snow to Minnesota.

Significant snowfall is becoming more likely Thursday through Friday. Some mixed precipitation and rain is also possible, especially in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The St. Cloud area is in a Winter Storm Watch from 1pm Thursday until 4pm Friday. Total snow accumulations could be in the 6 to 12 inch range, with the heaviest snow falling across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. 

National Weather Service forecaster Rick Hiltbrand is preciting around 10 inches in St. Cloud, where the snowfall total this winter is already at 63.9 inches.
