ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud police have released more details on an armed robbery in which a gunshot was fired.

Sergeant Jason Burke says it happened just after 2 am Saturday in the 600 block of 7th Avenue South.

Three males in their early 20's were walking to a residence on the south side of St. Cloud when they were confronted by two male suspects. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded property from the three males.

During the confrontation, the suspect discharged the handgun, but did not injure any of the victims.

After the gunshot, one of the victims was pushed to the ground and physically assaulted, and received minor injuries.

The suspects are believed to have left the scene in the a motor vehicle, and police believe this was a random incident.

Police have not released a description of the suspects. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call St. Cloud police at 251-1200, or Tri County Crimestoppers at 255-1301.
