MONTICELLO, Minn. (KNSI) An 81 year-old Monticello man was killed in a single vehicle crash Tuesday.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 2:00 pm at 127th Street Northeast and 120th Street Northeast in Monticello Township.

William Charles Papke was southbound on 127th Street when his Jeep Wrangler left the road, traveled into the ditch and struck a tree.

Papke was the only occupant and was dead at the scene. 

The crash is being investigated by the Wright County Sheriff's Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
