ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Some people who couldn't get health insurance through Minnesota's health insurance exchange by the end of last month now have more time.
MNsure has told about 8,200 people that some of them now face a sign-up deadline of April 22.
MNsure had created an online form for people to say they were trying to obtain coverage before the federal health law's March 31 deadline, but couldn't because of technical reasons.
The April 22 deadline applies to people who aren't eligible for public health insurance programs, and must instead purchase insurance from a private company.
People who filled out an enrollment attempt form and are determined eligible for either Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare will get more information about signing up for those programs.
