MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Fair officials say the issues with the high-swinging ride at the Minnesota State Fair have been resolved.
Owner Tom McDonagh told the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/PjfdoD) the Stratosphere wasn't working again earlier Saturday due to a maintenance issue unrelated to the problem that grounded it during the fair's first two days.
But fair spokesperson Brienna Schuette said Saturday evening that the issues had been resolved and the ride reopened at 8:10 p.m.
The Stratosphere shut down on its own as a safety precaution on Thursday and Friday.
Riders were aboard but fair officials say no one was hurt and no one has been in danger.
The ride had similar problems at the Wisconsin State Fair earlier this month.
