EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - A former Eden Prairie police officer says she's disgusted to learn that more than 100 law-enforcement officials accessed her driver's-license information after she retired.
Anne Marie Rasmusson retired in 2003 because of a back injury. The 37-year-old believes officers continued to access her files to look at her picture or get her address.
After she contacted the state Driver and Vehicle Services division this summer, the agency found that more than 100 members of 18 law-enforcement agencies queried her record 425 times in four years.
One Eden Prairie police sergeant acknowledged to investigators he didn't have a good reason to access her record 13 times. He was demoted and received a five-day unpaid suspension.
A St. Paul Pioneer Press report says dozens of other officers have been disciplined.
