ELK RIVER, MN (AP) - Charges say a 19-year-old Big Lake man was dueling with another car when he crashed into a motorcycle and killed two people last April.
Cody Moen was charged Tuesday in Sherburne County with two counts of criminal vehicular operation. He remains in jail.
The Star Tribune (bit.ly/L6XUqf) reports Moen was trying to overtake another car when he spun off the gravel shoulder and crossed the median into the path of a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 31-year-old Brien Wickham of Big Lake, and his 26-year-old passenger, Jacquelyn Lee of Ramsey, died in the collision.
Moen was treated at a hospital for injuries and released after the crash. He was arrested Monday.
