ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Minneapolis will host the 2018 Super Bowl.
NFL Comissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on the NFL Network.
No city recieved a super majority, so Indianapolis got the boot. For the second round, simple majority wins. That majority favored Minneapolis.
The new Vikings stadium is scheduled to open in 2016 at the site of the former metrodome.
