About 25 protesters gathered in Minneapolis to speak out against a possible U.S.-led attack on Syria.
It was one of many protests that took place around the world Saturday, as President Barack Obama announced he would seek congressional approval for possible air strikes on Syria.
WCCO radio reports many of the Minneapolis demonstrators were longtime antiwar activists.
Some like Tom Bolan were new to the cause. Bolan says he attended the protest because he could no longer "sit idly by and let our government wage yet another war that will make more enemies for my children."
A larger anti-war protest is planned to take place Tuesday on the University of Minnesota campus.
