MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say a 10-year old Bloomington girl who disappeared in the area of West Lake Street and Pillsbury Avenue South has been found safe.
Namo Abdinur Ahmed disappeared around 10 a.m. Sunday. Police say she got out of a car with her mother and siblings and was walking ahead of them to their religious classes.
Shortly after that they discovered the girl had not made it to the class.
Sgt. William Palmer says officers spent hours going door to door, spreading the word in the Somali community and using a police dog to try to pick up her trail.
He said Sunday evening that the girl was found safe.
