MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reopening the three Twin Cities locks to recreational boaters.
The locks will reopen to boaters at noon Friday. But the Corps is advising caution in that area because Mississippi River currents are still high.
The locks were closed to boaters on May 28 when flows on the river exceeded 30,000 cubic feet per second.
Heavy rains had caused the high flows.
